INTERACTIVE DASHBOARDS
Users often need access to data that changes or the ability to design their own reports. Enhanced front-end user experience creates better value for both the company and customer.
Interactive web-based dashboards distribute the most up-to-date information to your user base, avoid going though pricy vendors, and your user base only needs to have a web browser installed to view.

This page showcases an interactive web-based dashboard that I have developed.
CONQUERING DEEP WATER IN THE GULF OF MEXICO
Oil companies have been drilling in the Gulf of Mexico since the mid-to-late 1940s. While drilling, the drilling rig must remain stationary above the borehole. Given this limitation, until relatively recently oil companies could drill only from platforms with legs that rest upon the ocean floor. Starting in the late 1980s, oil companies devised methods to overcome winds and water currents to keep a floating rig stationary over a borehole. With this new capability, companies could prospect for hydrocarbons in progressively deeper water.

This Shiny app enables users to visualize the geographic extent of drilling in the Gulf with relationship to time.
The data comes from the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM). The data is current as of 15 April 2021.

The capstone project of the Creighton Data Analytics Bootcamp required designing a dashboard and recording a video explaining it to users.
